Reedham Ferry Touring Park Norfolk

Reedham Ferry Touring Park, Norfolk

Reedham Ferry Touring Park, Norfolk

Price: £18 for two adults and two children (£6 extra for Electric)

Situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads right next to the River Yare this is truly a little slice of heaven. The fact that you have use of a private slipway included in the price is, in our opinion, fantastic.

The touring park accommodates tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans…when we stayed we also saw someone with a fabulous rooftop tent set up.

The
campsite itself is tucked just behind the riverside pub where you have access to the coarse fishing lakes which are again included in the price. The site itself is simple, green, and peaceful. With toilets, showers, water, waste and laundry you get quite a lot included in the price.

However the jewel in the crown of this campsite is its location.

Positioned right next to the river you can sit and have a drink in the adjoining pub/restaurant and watch the boats sail by. There is also a chain ferry which operates daily, as the road comes to a dead end at this point, which is fun to watch all on its own.

From here you can also walk into the local village where you will find two more riverside pubs, a local store, postoffice, chip shop and a pop pizza truck.

This is honestly such a lovely little slice of Norfolk. So peaceful and quiet. However if you do craze the liveliness of the seaside resorts then its only a short drive to Great Yarmouth.

And if you are wondering if what they say about Norfolk is true, we can confirm it is, the sunsets are absolutely stunning!

If fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boat watching, walks and relaxing are what you are looking for then this site will be perfect for you.

To note this is a warden based campsite so there isnt an official check in, when you arrive you will see your name already written on the board. If you have booked an electric pitch then you will also see an adjoining pitch number, otherwise you drive to the back of the campsite and pitch where you please.

To note this is a grass only site which is worth bearing in mind if the weather has been bad. However they do provide traction mats in their plenty which help get you off the grass in wetter weather. You can also pitch just off the gravel path which will make it easier to move when you need to.

As always any questions then feel free to drop us a message.

Happy camping folks!
